Consulting firm presents report April 27
As part of the Interactive Media Initiative, many communications, alumni relations, development and information technology professionals from around Grounds participated in conversations with the team from the Internet strategy consulting firm mStoner this winter. As a result of those discussions, a day-long planning workshop in February, and a series of interviews with external stakeholders and representatives from other Colleges and Universities, the team from mStoner has prepared a report.
The report suggests how U.Va. might proceed to reach our goal of developing and deploying the optimal array of online tools and services to engage alumni and other key constituencies in the life of the institution. It examines our aspirations, explores trends, articulates an ideal online experience, recognizes challenges, and proposes some specific recommendations.
Michael Stoner will present the report from 9-10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, in the auditorium on the lower level of the Harrison Small Special Collections Library. This presentation is open to everyone. Following his presentation Michael will lead a discussion about his analysis of our situation and the firm's specific recommendations. The Interactive Media Initiative core team will use the report, and stakeholders' reactions to it, as they prepare a final set of plans.
Printed copies of the report will be available at the presentation on April 27. You may arrive as early as 8:30 if you'd like to read the report before Michael begins his talk at 9. If you will be unable to attend the presentation and would like a copy of the report, please send an email message with your messenger mail address to Nicole Breeden at nl3d@virginia.edu.
