New HoosOnline to launch July 11
The Interactive Media Initiative core team decided today to postpone the public launch of HoosOnline until Monday, July 11, to allow for additional data testing and training.
Although the site will be essentially complete this week as planned, they concluded that it would be preferable to delay its public debut until they have had more time to test the data being transferred from PCI and Advance into Kintera Sphere, and to test and train on the Advance Data Loader tool that will be used to transfer data updates made in Sphere back to Advance. They also had some mild concerns about launching prior to the URL masking that goes into effect Jul 5, and about being optimally staffed to handle customer service requests that arise as a result of everyone having to update their HoosOnline passwords after launch.
