Katrina message board receives 100th post
Last evening we had the 100th post to the Hurricane Katrina message board since we launched the site on Friday. There's been a remarkable outpouring of offers of assistance, news about fellow Hoos, and requests for help (including one exchange between a College alumna in Germany offering 20-40 water purifiers and a Curry alumnus in charge of an Army emergency operations center in New Orleans who's eager to receive them). Our stats indicate that about 5,400 individuals have viewed messages more than 26,000 times during the last six days. More than 200 decided to register with HoosOnline because of the message board.
