Zach Wheat joins U.Va. as Assistant Director of Client Services
Zach Wheat today joins U.Va. as assistant director of client services. In this new role, Zach will lead the client services team for the Interactive Media Initiative. He also will help a portfolio of internal and alumni clients use the technology tools and services being made availabe through the University's partnership with Kintera.

Zach can be a first point of contact for U.Va. communicators, alumni relations officers and fundraisers interested in creating and deploying an array of interactive media tools and services to foster closer engagement with our alumni and other key publics. He is the bridge between the business needs of our internal clients and the specialists on the Interactive Media team.

Among the services now or soon becoming available are broadcast email, Web pages for event registration and online giving, group Web sites that link to the HoosOnline alumni database, online and email periodicals, and Web-based polls, surveys, comment forms and message boards.

Zach comes to U.Va. with deep experience in all facets of print and electronic publishing, principally with Pike and Fischer in Sliver Spring, Md. Most recently he developed and launched the print and online periodical "Virginia Economic Development Review."

Zach is already familiar to many in the U.Va. community through his work, in a temporary capacity, building Web pages and micro-sites on the Kintera platform during the past three months. Zach is available at zjw6b@virginia.edu and 434-243-2096.
