Deke Shrum joins U.Va. as Assistant Director of Content Management
Deke Shrum today joined U.Va. as assistant director of content management. In this new role Deke will help internal and alumni clients build Web pages, Web forms and Web sites using the content management system from our primary technology partner, Kintera.
Deke comes to U.Va. from Sports War, an Internet company that manages a collection of college and university sports fan Web sites. As art director, Deke created site designs and banner advertising for sites such as one familiar to many in the U.Va. community, TheSabre.com.
Previously, he managed the Web presence for the Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission, and worked as a software trainer. He also has designed many Web sites as a freelance developer.
